Human Settlements

What we stand for

Zero Eviction for Communities

Many informal settlers face threats of eviction in spaces that they developed. We forge alliances with community collectives in their assertion for Zero Eviction.

Address Urban Internal Displacement

Often, informal settlers fall prey to the inhumane and unjust treatment of the state during evictions. We stand with the urban poor in their militant stance against state and private-entity-sponsored attacks.

Uphold the People’s Right to Housing

The Philippines’ current housing backlog is 6 million and most erected units are sub-standard or unlivable. We demand decent, affordable, and quality housing for the informal sector.

Advocate for Inclusive Housing Plans

In connection with our demand for decent, affordable, and quality housing, we also campaign for inclusive housing plans where the interests of the people, not the affluent, are at the core of it.

strategic objective #2

Working to advocate for dignified human settlements in the urban and rural areas where there is adequate housing, security of tenure, livelihood opportunities, and access to services.
